Cuts To Funding: Obama's 2014 budget proposal for the Environmental Protection Agency is 3.5% below 2012 levels
and almost 5% under the 2013 continuing resolution.
Cuts To Staff: The 2014 Fiscal Year Budget for the EPA plans to cut staff levels from 17,055 to 16,870.
This brings staff levels back to where they were in 1991 (Environmental News Stand).
Clean water, air and the regulation of hazardous chemicals are matters of public safety which deserve real funding, not pocket change.

World Future Fund Report on Chemical Testing Failure
America's track record on testing poisonous chemicals has been one of complete neglect to public health and safety.
The EPA reported in 2007 that: "of the (top) 3,000 chemicals imported or produced by the United States,
43% of these high production volume chemicals (HPV) have no testing data".
There needs to be a real commitment to protecting the public against hazardous chemicals.
