WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A WRITER ON ISLAM
For 1000 years since its foundation, Islam has been the most popular religion
on our planet. According to current projections, Islam will become the largest
religion on our planet once again, perhaps as early as 2050. For those who
actually believe in something, Islam is already the most prominent religion on our
planet, since so many "Christians" are really only nominal Christians. We have studied the
Holy Quran, Islam, and its history and are
impressed. We see moral values that relate to all people within all of these
things.
We are searching for a writer to educate people on Islam. A writer who will
teach people about what Islam is and is not. Speaking fluent English and
Arabic is required.
What will this writer be doing? Primarily, duties will include researching and
explaining Islam in ways the general public can understand. We are in the
process of studying many internet sites that deal directly with Islam. Many
individuals post excellent quality material on this subject, and we need someone
who can filter out the most essential elements and create articles based on
specific information.
We have been studying Islam since 1995 since we were founded.
A list of our reports is
here.
What is our view of Islam? Our views are the basics of Islam as implemented in
the first 100 years of its revolutionary expansion worldwide. The history of the
caliphs has many things that are not Islamic. Still, we're focusing on the
bigger picture of a moral view of life and the expansion of Islam as accepted by
the people who encountered it in the most incredible religious revolution in
history. We are talking about the moral view of a man like Malcolm X and others
who see the broader and proper scope of Islam.
Social Justice and Tolerance
Tolerance has always been an integral part of Islam, unlike
Christianity, which launched the most murderous campaign of religious
persecution the world had ever seen when it came to power in the Roman Empire. Tolerance is demanded explicitly in the holy Quran. It is a
fascinating point in history that when the Jews were persecuted in Europe, they
repeatedly were able to find refuge in the Muslim world. When Ferdinand and
Isabella, two of the biggest tyrants Europe ever saw, expelled hundreds of
thousands of Jews, they fled across the Mediterranean to Muslim states. It was
Europe, not Islam, that would launch campaign after murderous campaign against
their Jewish populations. Defenders of Christianity gloss over the virulently
anti-Semitic nature of the so-called crusades. The first crusade made its way
through the Balkans, where it murdered any Jews that it encountered, and when it
finally arrived at Jerusalem, it burned the Jews alive in their synagogue.. The Star of David
badge identifying Jewish people
was mandated by Pope Innocent III long before Adolf Hitler implemented it.
Martin Luther called for the burning down of all synagogues in Germany and the
expulsion of all Jews.
In terms of today, it is important to realize that the hostility of many Muslim
people and many Arabs towards Jews is a direct result of the actions of Britain
and America in World War 1. The Arabs were promised freedom if they joined
Britain and America in fighting the Ottoman Empire. This promise was a lie, a
lie perpetuated by the gigantic charlatan, Lawrence of Arabia, who Barack Obama
thought was some friend of the Arabs, showing how ignorant modern Western
political elites are of the basic facts of history in the Middle East. When
World War One was over, the British and the French imposed imperial rule over
the Arab states that they had conquered, and they crushed Arab efforts at
independence. In the process of this, they also set up a Zionist state in
Palestine in the 1930s. Britain conducted a murderous campaign of war crimes to
crush the resistance of the people of Palestine to this foreign state that was
implemented by British imperialism.
Unfortunately, the anger at the war crimes of England and America has
fueled high levels of Muslim hostility to the Jews in our time. We need to get people back to basics, and the
basics are that the Holy Quran specifies a specific code of conduct that is not
negotiable. The resistance to foreign
imperialism is legitimate and indeed morally good and necessary. However,
religious intolerance and atrocities against civilians are not, and Muslims need
to get back to basics. The spread of Islam was due to the conduct of the Islamic
armies that were not like the Christians and represented an effort to create
social justice and tolerance.
In terms of today's world, we want to make several things clear about what is
not Islam. Any form of terrorism against civilians is prohibited explicitly in the
Holy Quran. Did anyone see the prophet running around Mecca and murdering its
civilians to make a political statement? No, they did not. It would be an
abomination to suggest any such thing. Well-justified anger at British and
American imperialism does not in any way legitimize the commission of
atrocities. Islam is a moral view of life set forth by a law. There are no
exceptions to the rules. There is nothing in the Quran that says if you were
fighting a particularly evil person, you can commit any atrocities you want to
commit. Sorry, that is not in the Quran. Any attacks on civilians are expressly
prohibited.
In the case of women's rights, we see groups like the Taliban and the current
government of Iran as simply embarrassments. There's just no other way to put
that more positively. Women's rights were greatly expanded during the original
Islamic revolution compared to before Islam arrived. We will leave the fine
points of women's rights in Islam to theologians and for debate among the
Islamic peoples of the world. As an organization we are 100%
committed to full equal rights for women. However, nations like America
and England have such a disastrous record of human rights that they are hardly
fit to provide guidance for Muslims. Indeed, western efforts to
promote "human rights" in today's Islamic world are more often than not
counterproductive. Reform of womens rights must come from within the
Muslim world, not from hypocritical foreign imperialists with a long list of war
crimes.
In conclusion we want a person who can help communicate the basics of Islam.
People like Malcolm X set a positive example although not all Muslims agree with
him. Today's global problems need global cooperation. The
basic values of Islam can play a major part here.
