S.94 - A bill to impose sanctions in response to cyber intrusions by the Government of the Russian Federation and other aggressive activities of the Russian Federation, and for other purposes
This bill was introduced on January 11th, 2017.
It is a bill sponsored by Senator Cardin (D-MD) and cosponsored by Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), along with seven other senators.
The purpose of the bill is to impose sanctions upon Russia in retaliation for "hacking the U.S. election." Even though the proof of this alleged hack is still not concrete.
We will point out that sanctions are an act of war.

A group of US senators are leading an effort to push through a bill which would allow the Senate to veto any attempt of President Donald Trump to loosen sanctions on Moscow.
This group is led by Senators Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) and Ben Cardin (D-Maryland), and also includes Marco Rubio (R-Florida), John McCain (R-Arizona), Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri), and Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio).
They are planning to introduce legislation that would subject any decision the president takes concerning Russia to a 120 day-review, during which Congress could put any move to lift sanctions to a vote.
