GLOBAL POPULATION SPEAK OUT WEBSITE

"Overdevelopment Overpopulation Overshoot" is a new book that uses stunning photography to paint a visceral picture of today's man-made ecological crisis. This book is the focal point of the 2015 Global Population Speak Out Campaign and the organization is granting free copies to activists who want to use it to create change. "It’s time to make millions of people acutely, immediately, and viscerally aware of the dangers and deprivations facing people and the planet," said the group on their website.

Today's world leaders are presiding over a criminal assault against life on the planet; so many life forms have been destroyed by human activity that scientists are unanimous in their claim that we are living in a sixth era of mass extinction. A current study done by the World Wildlife Fund has found that humanity has killed up to 50% of the life on the planet in the last 40 years (Living Planet Report 2014 ). This behavior is not sustainable. It is time to make people aware of this crisis, and awareness is precisely the goal of the "Population Speak Out" Campaign.

One of the key issues this book highlights is overpopulation. The human population is booming while natural resources are disappearing quicker than they can be replaced.
